Sales Policy Details

  1. The very nature of our work is such that it is often impossible to foresee the full extent of the works. Whilst every effort on our part and all our considerable experience is utilised when preparing our estimate, it is for this reason that we are unable to offer you a fixed price. Variations and additional work will be chargeable at our standard rates. The prices of materials are subject to manufacturers’ increases which can occur without notice. Our estimate remains open to acceptance for 30 days.
  2. All our works are in accordance with Local Authority Building Regulations – Document J, and as a ‘Competent Person’ as defined in the above document, being a member of both Gas Safe Register & HETAS, we are authorised to both carry out and certify our own work. Notification of the above shall be via the above organisation and they will issue a letter of compliance to you after installation. Any electrical work shall be notified separately under part P.
  3. Our workmanship & materials are subject to a 1 year full guarantee (this does not affect your statutory rights).
  4. All new appliances are subject to the manufacturers’ standard warranties which shall be a minimum of 1 year and in some cases 2 or more. All Harmony, Stanford, Nestor Martin & Hwam stoves are additionally covered by our 10-year guarantee (subject to annual servicing and chimney sweeping).
  5. No wear parts such as grates, baffles, fire bricks, rope seals and glass etc are included in the above warranties, irrespective of the length of time they have been installed and replacements will be charged for.
  6. We recommend that the room(s) be cleared of soft furnishings and ornaments etc and that the carpet be rolled back if we are to fit a hearth. We are unable to re-fit your carpet and you should make arrangements to have this work carried out after we have completed our works.
  7. We will take every possible care with gutters and roof coverings etc, however we cannot be held responsible for any accidental damage that may be caused as a result of these items being already worn, defective, insecure or otherwise.
  8. An initial £100 deposit is required prior to a detailed site survey being carried out, at which time the estimated costs are confirmed and agreed (should there be an increase in cost for any reason and you choose not to proceed, then the deposit will be refunded in full and the order cancelled).
  9. We will then send you an order confirmation letter setting out the scope of our supply. We ask that you sign and return this letter as acceptance by you of our terms & conditions of sale and that the goods & services we are to supply to you are correct.
  10. On receipt of the above we shall order your appliance(s) and agree an installation date. When the appliance(s) is/are received into our stock, we will invoice you for the full value of it/them. This will usually be around 7 days prior to the installation date. Payment is due at this time.
  11. Immediately prior to installation our balance invoice will be submitted. This does not become due for payment until the works are commissioned and completed to your satisfaction.
  12. In the rare event of extra charges being incurred, a final account shall be submitted on completion of the works.
  13. You may pay by either cash, cheque or preferably BACS transfer or debit card. Credit card (Visa Credit, MasterCard, Access etc and charge cards; Corporate, Amex, Diners club etc) payments will attract a surcharge of 2.75% to cover our additional costs for processing these payments.
