07/11/2011 - New Business Account Manager/Sales Engineer
We urgently require a Sales Engineer to sell biomass boilers and solar thermal equipment to plumbers and heating engineers.
We hold the sole distribution rights for a range of innovative, high quality, Austrian manufactured, MCS accredited and RHI compliant biomass boilers and solar thermal equipment in the north of England and southern Scotland. We also distribute a range of ancillary items. In order to capitalise on the tremendous opportunity this presents, we are looking to appoint an experienced Sales Engineer to recruit a network of installation partners to sell these products to consumers in their local area.
The role will entail identifying potential installation partners, developing marketing strategies to sell the product range to them, providing sales and product training, basic technical support, etc. The area to be covered stretches from South Yorkshire to the Scottish central belt, and the successful candidate will be expected to spend the majority of their time covering the area to meet with potential and existing installation partners. It is envisaged that no more than one day per week will be office-based, and the successful candidate will be provided with a laptop and mobile phone to enable them to work from a home office.
Experience in the heating trade in general and biomass and/or solar thermal in particular would be a huge advantage, but an interest in and desire to learn about these products, and an ability to quickly assimilate technical information, may suffice. Previous experience in a similar technical sales role is essential, along with the ability to work under your own initiative to achieve sales targets whilst continuing to support existing installation partners.
Full product training will be given in both the UK and Austria.
The Wood Heating Company is an established leader in its field, and in addition to supplying biomass boilers and solar thermal equipment to the trade we also undertake biomass installations of up to 500kW. It is possible that the successful applicant will also have an opportunity to get involved in selling direct to end users.
A generous remuneration package is offered, along with a car/car allowance, mobile phone, laptop, etc.
