Our activities are split between stoves and biomass boiler installations and we operate throughout the North east and beyond (within a 50mile radius for stove installations and 100 miles or so for boiler installations).
We are installers first and foremost and directly employ our own HETAS installation engineers who are responsible for the ‘technical’ aspect of every project, backed up by our design & project team. We are supported by a loyal band of specialist tradesmen who work alongside our engineers, carry out building, plastering, stone masonry, joinery and any electrical works that may be required. We also directly employ our own heating and plumbing engineers who, in addition to being HETAS registered, are also Gas Safe registered and qualified to give specific advice regarding heat losses, heating system design, energy conservation and other forms of renewable heating such as solar thermal. Our MD, Mike Blakeley, as well as personally holding all of the above qualifications, is also one of only an elite handful of qualified biomass engineers in the country.
The Wood Heating Company is more than happy to supply stoves and other equipment to retail customers, for them to arrange installation themselves, if they so choose. Our advice to these customers is this:
"The best and simplest way to ensure that you end up with a suitable, safe and satisfactory stove installation is to consult and engage the services of your LOCAL stove showroom, where you will be able to view the product and probably even see it working. They will survey your property and look after your best interests to ensure that the above criteria are met in full and, should there be any issues, they will have the necessary resources and direct access to the manufacturers in order to address these issues expediently and with the minimum of hassle."
That said, if you live within 50 miles of Cramlington, then you are more than welcome to visit our showroom, even if you then proceed to order your stove from our website. If you live outside of this area, then please refer to our Sales Policy by clicking on the tab to the left or clicking here. Here’s our area of operation:
